Hi, I’m Liz, and I’m a Veterinary Assistant at Pinnacle. I also serve as the training and behavior specialist here at the clinic, where I help support both pets and their owners with behavior and training guidance. I’ve been working in veterinary medicine for about 15 years and have experience in several areas of the field, though I spent much of my career working in emergency medicine.
I’m currently continuing my education and working toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician. In addition to my veterinary experience, I’m a certified dog obedience trainer and instructor, a canine behavior specialist, and a Fear Free certified trainer. I’m also excited to be starting school this summer to become a certified behavior consultant so I can continue expanding the ways I help pets and their families.
At home, I have a full house of animals that keep life interesting. My dogs are Mushy, my 12-year-old boxer, and Mylo, my energetic 2-year-old lab mix. I also have two cats, Murphy and baby Myrtle. My pet family doesn’t stop there though—I also care for Sucre, my leopard gecko, and Sam, my ball python. Each of them has their own unique personality, and they make life at home fun and full of surprises.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. I also love reading and woodburning, which is one of my favorite creative hobbies.
What I love most about working in veterinary medicine is being able to help strengthen the bond between pets and their families. Whether it’s providing medical care, helping with behavior and training, or simply supporting pet owners through challenges, it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of improving the lives of animals and the people who love them.
