Veterinarian in Clemson, SC

Pinnacle Veterinary Group in Clemson, SC wants to be your pet’s primary medical and wellness care provider. Our animal hospital, located on College Avenue on the north side of the city, treats domestic cats, dogs and small animals. Our services run the gamut from wellness visits to surgery and emergency care. Our mission is to help your pet live the best, most healthy life possible. We invite you to see the Pinnacle difference.

Our Philosophy of Care

Our philosophy of care stresses wellness and preventative medicine. It’s much easier, not to mention less expensive, to treat a potential illness or health situation early than to wait until it’s an emergency situation. Some pet health challenges can be prevented all together. Preventing a medical emergency and helping your pet life a healthy life is our goal when it comes to veterinary care.

Wellness care means developing a relationship with you and your pet from your pet’s infancy (starting at around three months) through his or her senior years. By knowing your pet well, we are in a better position to spot potential health problems before they can develop into life-threatening situations. We also help you keep on top of vaccinations, flea and tick preventatives and dental care, all things that help your pet live the best, and healthiest, life possible.

Injuries and illness

We are also here to treat your pet’s injuries and/or illnesses. When you pet is ill or injured, we’ll examine your pet and run blood and other tests to determine the cause or extent of your pet’s injuries or illness and devise a treatment plan. We’ll also help you with the tools and skills to treat chronic pet diseases, especially ones that affect older pets like kidney disease and diabetes.

Dental

Good dental health is essential to the good overall health of your pet. We perform dental cleaning, under general anesthesia, as well as treat dental situations like infected teeth or gum disease. We’ll also teach you how to keep your pet’s teeth clean at home.

Surgery

We perform a number of surgeries in our in-house surgical theater. These include spay/neuter procedures and foreign body removal. For more involved surgeries, such as complicated mass removals, we bring in a board-certified surgeon to assist us. When an overnight stay is required, we’ll refer you to a sister veterinary hospital in the area, while we continue to monitor your pet’s progress.

Emergencies

We can handle most pet health emergencies during our regular business hours. For after-hour emergencies, we’ll refer you to one of the area’s 24-hour veterinary care centers.

Euthanasia

When it comes time to say goodbye to your pet, we’ll help you with this difficult task. We understand that when your pet has a poor prognosis and is in a lot of pain that the best thing you can do for them is to say goodbye, as hard as that may be. We’ll make this process as smooth and painless as possible.
